Our Team

Brooke Joiner grew up in the Valley and continues to call it home with her husband and four biological children.  The Joiners are also therapeutic foster parents with a local agency and have one current placement.  Brooke proudly served our country in the Virginia Army National Guard for nine years before pursuing her social work degree from James Madison University.  She then completed her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee.  She has years of experience working with children and adults of all abilities. 

Colleen Byers is a long-time resident of the Shenandoah Valley. She has a passion for working with children and has dedicated the last eight years of her career to providing high-quality childcare services. Colleen is known for her ability to recognize and nurture the unique potential of each child in her care, tailoring her approach to meet their individual needs. Her compassionate and nurturing nature creates a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters children's growth and development.
